Aniara’s platform uses advanced language technology to translate and distribute books in multiple formats — e-books, audiobooks, and print-on-demand, across up to eight languages. The company has already launched over 128 titles in 14 markets, with more than 50 contracted authors and another 50 on a waiting list.
– At Aller Media, we’ve been connecting stories with readers since 1873. Today, we see Aniara creating a similar revolution for authors. By breaking down language barriers, they’re opening doors to new markets and readers worldwide. We’re investing in Aniara because we believe every compelling story deserves the chance to find its audience, regardless of language, said Michael Aller, CEO of Aller Media Nordic.
Founded with authors at its core, Aniara uses advanced language technology to translate books into multiple languages while preserving each author’s unique voice and style. The company’s revolutionary approach reduces translation time from months to just days, allowing authors to simultaneously launch their works across multiple languages and markets – an opportunity previously available only to bestselling authors at major publishing houses.
The investment will be used to scale Aniara’s technology and expand its capacity to onboard more authors.
– Having Aller Media as our strategic investor brings invaluable industry expertise and market access. There’s a beautiful symmetry in our partnership – Aller was founded on technological innovation that disrupted publishing over a century ago, and today we’re continuing that tradition of transformation through technological development. Their long-term perspective aligns perfectly with our mission to make literature truly global, says Rickard Lundberg, CEO and founder of Aniara.
